    Spoke Stitching

Spoke Stitching has its best results on linen or open weave fabric. It can be stitched around a tablecloth, down the front of a shirt, around the hem of a skirt to add something extra to your favourite piece.

Also, a favourite stitch for the hand sewers wanting to crochet the edge of a place mat, napkin or table cloth.

Contact us to discuss your project and how we could incorporate it into your design or project.

  • Pintucking

    Pintucking

Pintucking is a technique that stitches a fold of fabric to make a pleat. It is stitching along the length of a piece of fabric and the pressed away from the edge or selvedge.

The size of the pintuck can vary from 1/16” of an inch up to 1” and the space can vary wether you would like to see a space between the pintucks or gentley overlapping.

The minimum length of fabric is two (2) meters and the entire width can be pintucked or just a couple of runs can be processed. One stitched the fabric is pressed and then yours to cut and place into your design.

It is commonly incorporated into shirt fronts, and most recognised in men’s dinner shirts. It can be used horizontally or vertically into your design.

Sometimes pintucking is added to linen across flat sheets and pillowcases. If the fabric allows it can be tucked into squares and made into cushions.
